Barbera - 1970
We name wine 1970 to celebrate the year of our favorite daughter, Dina, birth. This wine is light and refreshing. This Barbera is infused with delightful notes of peach and cherry, culminating in a dry oak finish. It’s as upbeat and vivacious as Dina herself.
Primtivo - 1952
Plymouth grown Zinfandel beautifully showcases the qualities that make this grape California’s premier varietal. It opens with earthy notes of berries and pomegranate, complemented by hints of smoke, leading to a dry pepper finish. Big and bold, this wine is undoubtedly a reflection of Aurelio (Ray) Villegas Sr., the founder of Villegas Vines, whose passion for hard work has shaped all he does since his birth in 1952.
Petite Syrah - 1973
This wine is a tribute to the birth year of our favorite son, Aurelio Villegas Jr. This full -bodied Petite Syrah is rich in tannins, boasting an earthy, leathery character. It features enticing notes of blackberries, smoke, and chocolate. Creating a big bold flavor profile. Perfectly suited for pairing with steak or pork, it’s a wine that celebrates both family and favor. ,
Ranch Blend - 1955
Name for the year of Terry’s birth. She is co-founder and winemaker of Villegas wines. This red wine blends grapes from all 3 varieties that we grow. It is rich in tannins. Flavors of black cherry and vanilla notes that give way to a dry black pepper finish.
Rosado
This Rose’ is an exquisite blend of Petite Syrah and Barbera. Celebrating our Spanish heritage this wine is lively and well balanced, with a juicy acidity that enhances the fruit favors. You might taste cherries and raspberries, complemented by the bright acidity from the Barbera, making it crisp and refreshing. This wine was specially picked by three generations of Villegas women. ONLY 10 CASES MADE.
